X is officially rolling out audio and video calls.

Twitter X

Finally, Twitter X has released
audio and video calling for iOS devices, with support for Android, Mac, and PC
to come. Elon Musk has said that while the new feature is still in its early
phases, it will change over time. Users have the option to receive calls from
persons they follow or verified users, as well as initiate audio or video calls
from contacts in their address book.
It's unclear if X Premium members
will be the only ones able to use this feature, or if it will be open to all
users. Musk has made it clear that consumers can utilize the function—which he
called an efficient global address book—without having a phone number.
This action represents a critical
turning point in X's development as a complete social networking platform.
