The race is organized by Maca Flight, a French company that has been developing mobility technology for years. The company’s CEO, Christian Pineau, said he was confident the race would be a success. "We are very excited to partner with the UAE to bring this event to life," he said. "The UAE is at the forefront of innovation and technology, and we believe it is the perfect location to host the world's first road race."

The UAE is no stranger to hosting major sporting events. Since 2009, the country has hosted the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and in 2021, Dubai plans to host the Expo 2020 World Fair.
