Caretaker govt decided to keeps petrol, diesel prices unchanged

The caretaker government of Pakistan has declared that until November 15, the rates of petrol and diesel would not change. Additionally, the government has lowered the cost of light speed diesel and kerosene by Rs. 340 and Rs. 382, respectively, per litre.

Prior pricing analysis

The caretaker government announced on 15 October that the rates of petrol and diesel will be reduced by Rs. 40 and Rs. 15, respectively, bringing the total to 28338 and 30318 per litre. This decrease correlated with both the rupee's ongoing strength versus the US dollar and shifts in the global prices of petroleum products.
